The Discord is probably sufficient for "solving" doughbyte, but I'm curious if you all would find it useful to have a space that allows for better <strong>organization</strong> and <strong>permanence</strong> of information and theories. The spontaneous-communication nature of Discord causes knowledge to rot quite quickly as it gets buried under new conservation. Here, your ideas can live forever (until they are edited away, at least).

Perhaps selfishly, my goal is also to encourage more interaction amongst yourselves in regards to the story. I love hearing what you have to say about doughbyte, and this is a second avenue for that to happen. (I also just think wikis are a lot of fun. :)

I set this up in a few hours, so I can't guarantee everything here will Just Work™. If something goes wrong, please get my attention, and I'll do what I can to fix it. I do not intend for MediaWiki maintenance to become my full time job, however, especially given that there are already so many in-progress doughbyte projects - so, if things get Really Fucked, I might have to take the toys away.

As you start editing, I recommend that you;
I'm also taking a small gamble on security by setting up MediaWiki on this site (if you know me, you know I loathe having even a simple POSTing input form on a webpage, so doing ''this'' is equivalent to injecting myself with cancer). I've set up basic anti-spam and security measures, but if we get spammed out or something else bad happens, that might mean no more wiki as well.


Security disclaimer aside, no account is ''currently'' required to make edits, so that the wiki remains as accessible and easy to edit as possible (an account '''is''' required to upload images, however. If you do make an account, please '''don't re-use a password you use for anything important.''' Again, I'm not exactly confident in my ability to properly secure this website.)

  • Look at the "Help" tab in the editor to see the formatting syntax (bold, links, lists, images, etc.)
  • Make an account on the wiki (you don't need to do this to edit, but you will need it to upload images)
  • See a list of all the templates we have

  • Make sure all your pages are linked to somewhere, so people can find them
  • Edit boldly; do not be afraid to make changes, leave pages incomplete, etc.
  • Use concise and clear language, but don't discard your sense of humor
