Little Box

Little Box is the second record in chapter III.
Synopsis
The RHOMB has been brought to the edge of the universe and very close to the fractal wall. NYXEM and IOGOS The purpose of their visit is to run tests on the wall, and see how it reacts to various stimuli. After sending out magnetic fields and a probe, it becomes apparent that matter and energy do not affect the fractals. The two researchers reach the conclusion that the fractals do not spread over matter, but rather the fabric of reality itself. Matter that is shot into the wall gets "iteratively translated" much like how a fractal tessellates. After running another test with two receivers, it's determined that the fractallization of matter is with offsets and rotations, and without scaling. This means that the shape of the iterations is a spiral, or at least the part that the Nyxite could measure before their receiver gave out. NYXEM makes a note that the data suggests that the Little Box Theory may be true. After the testing is finished, the wall begins to advance towards the ship. IOGOS takes note of this, and the record ends.
Trivia
- At this point in the story, it's not apparent what exactly the Little Box Theory is. However, it can be inferred that it's about the fractal wall and the Nyxite species' place in the universe.
- In the old version of this record, the distance between the receivers was shrunk drastically with each iteration. This meant each iteration was a magnitude larger than the last. However, Changes in some records, including this one, made this no longer true.[1]
